Visa Germany
When you have made up your mind to study in Germany, your primary requirement becomes obtaining a residence permit. A visa is a necessary part of immigration laws. But citizens of USA, Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland plus EU citizens can apply for residence visa after reaching Germany without visa.
The visa should be issued much before you land in the country, so it is advised that you should apply for it much before keeping a good amount of time in hand. Since every visa is not same so be sure about what kind of visa you want, a tourist visa cannot be converted into a student visa and a person on tourist visa are not eligible to study in Germany. The German Embassy is the responsible body or you can Consulate General in your home country who will give you full information.
If you have decided to study in Germany, first of all you will have to submit an application for a student visa to German mission abroad. With this he also has to submit inter alia saying that the applicant has been accepted for studying in Germany. The German mission will then forward the visa application to the foreigner’s authority. Once they give an approval the German mission can issue the visa.
There are three Types of Visa for International Students
Language course visa valid only for the duration of the course, but this cannot be converted into a student visa.
A three month study visa is valid if you have not yet obtain admission. But after admission in some university it is converted into a resident permit.
The visa for one year study purpose needs proof of admission and financial support for the duration of study.
