On The Day Of The SAT Test
SAT : Night before Exam & On the day of the Exam :
After finishing previous night’s dinner, pile up the things you’ll demand on test day:
- SAT Admission ticket
- Your Photo Identification Card (Govt. Issued Card or Student ID)
- Some Two No. Pencils with good erasers
- A Good Graphing/Scientific Calculator
- Watch or other timepiece without alarm
- A Bag
- Some Drinks & Snacks (you may require in break)
- Extra batteries
You may select your clothing in layers as the room temperature of the centre would be sometimes unpredictable.
The most important thing students should do is “Relax”. They may watch a movie, talk to a friend on the phone, or go out for a walk. Do any sort of activity that may help your mind to relax and stop thinking deep into the test.
If you’re in habilitate of sleeping late night, then don’t go to bed early on the previous day night. Rather, try to aim to go to bed about 1 hour before you normally would on a school night. Also, remember to set you alarm early enough so that you comfortably have time to get ready for the exam. You don’t want to create a time pressure situation for yourself. There’s going to be enough pressure during the actual SAT exam.
On the Day of the Exam:
After having a small meal, take out a test preparation booklet and go through the first two questions of each of the three sessions. After a few easy questions, you’ll realize your brain is still working and everything is going to be OK. Don’t check the answers….just do the problems. I don’t think the first problems you do on test day should be the real ones on the SAT exam.
Hopefully this advice will help you maximize your SAT test score. Good luck, and remember to stay positive!
