Re-Taking GMAT Test
The student can appear for Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) only once in a single calendar month, even if you have taken the test and canceled the scores. If the student retake GMAT for the second time in the same calendar month, than his marks for the second test will not be considered and test fee will get waived. However, the student can appear for GMAT in the coming subsequent month if he wants to give the exam for the second time. But retake the test in subsequent month will not assure you much increase in your scores. The average rise in the score from first to second test will be maximum 30 points in the total test GMAT scores.
Some universities ask for the latest results, there will appear a need for taking the exam for the second time. But if you feel that the results of your first test are unusually low or there were some genuine reasons for not performing to your best in your first test, only then the student is advised to give the exam again.
If your scores in GMAT are comparatively low with than all other indicators of your preparation for the study of the management, you should consider the reasons for this cause. For example, if the reason for not giving your best performance was lack of your preparation. In this case, prepare yourself enough before the re-take the GMAT test to demonstrate your actual ability.
If you repeat the test then your scores the last test and two most recent tests in the span of five years will be reported to the schools you designate.
